Chelten House Products, Inc. is a distinguished, family-owned company with a rich history spanning four generations in the food manufacturing industry. Located in Swedesboro, New Jersey, Chelten House Products has earned a reputation as a leader in producing high-quality pasta sauces, salad dressings, salsas, ketchup, and various other sauces and blends. Their commitment to excellence, innovation, and quality control has positioned them as a trusted name in the food sector, catering to diverse consumer tastes and preferences. As a fourth-generation business, they take pride in nurturing a strong work culture rooted in family values, community engagement, and long-term sustainability. Part of this dedication is ensuring that all employees work in a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
The role being offered is for a Warehouse Cleaner on the 1st shift, operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The position is a union role offering an hourly pay rate of $20.17, complete with comprehensive union benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance. Additional perks feature paid holidays, paid time off, supplemental life insurance, 401k contributions, employee appreciation events, and opportunities for team training and career advancement. This role ensures that warehouse facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, supporting the efficient operation of Chelten House Products’ manufacturing processes.
As a Warehouse Cleaner, the employee will be responsible for daily upkeep and janitorial duties in the warehouse environment. Their tasks will include cleaning floors, walls, handrails, doorways, and windows, along with maintaining employee restrooms by cleaning and restocking essential supplies. Managing trash disposal, including the use of a compactor machine for recycling and trash debris, will be crucial to ensuring waste management compliance and fostering a safe work environment. The position also involves operating cleaning machines such as floor walk-behind scrubbers, vacuums, and shop-vacs. The role demands a strong commitment to safety while working in a production or manufacturing setting where adherence to safety regulations and protocols is mandatory.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of six months of recent experience in facility cleaning, maintenance, or porter duties within a manufacturing setting. The ability to work independently while managing time effectively to complete all daily assigned tasks is necessary for success in this role. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and remain on their feet for an entire eight-hour shift. While not mandatory, experience using pallet jacks is preferred. Since public transportation does not service the company’s location, reliable personal transportation is required.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a family-oriented manufacturing company that fosters a diverse workforce and transparent leadership. Employees have access to a wide range of benefits designed to promote health, financial security, and work-life balance. Chelten House Products emphasizes safety and quality, making the warehouse cleaner’s role vital in maintaining an organized and hygienic environment that directly supports the company’s production goals and overall success.
