Leidos is currently seeking talented Distribution Engineers and Designers located in the Eastern, Pennsylvania region who are passionate about electric utility design engineering. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards associated with Leidos' reputation in the industry. As a Distribution Engineer/Designer, you will be responsible for executing design engineering tasks for Leidos' electric utility customers, working on a variety of projects ranging from straightforward assignments to complex large-scale infrastructure developments. Your work will involve direct client interaction, ensuring project scope, quality, and deadlines are met effectively.

In this role, you will develop work packages for overhead (OH), underground (UG), underground residential distribution (URD), and make-ready projects, utilizing customer GIS and Work Management Systems (WMS) such as EFD, AUD, Smallworld, ArcGIS, Infor, EAM, STORMS, and Maximo. You will manage assigned work's scope, schedule, and budget, and engage in functional planning, scope analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow efficiency. This position offers opportunities to gain expertise in key areas such as compliance with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), structural pole modeling, electrical power calculations, and field data collection. You may be required to work in both office and field settings, necessitating local or regional travel within Pennsylvania to support client needs.
