Job Description

Sweet Cow is a vibrant and community-focused ice cream company dedicated to crafting delicious, high-quality products while fostering a welcoming and supportive culture. Rooted in values such as community, kindness, contribution, and growth, Sweet Cow has established itself as not just a maker of delightful treats but a meaningful part of the communities it serves. The company operates multiple shops along with MooMobiles, its unique mobile ice cream concept, bringing joy and exceptional customer experiences wherever it goes. Sweet Cow’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction drives every aspect of its operations, from product creation to delivery and service. The work environment at Sweet Cow is positive, collaborative, and energetic, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and pride in one’s craft. Employees are valued for their contributions and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally within the company.

The role of Distribution Delivery Driver at Sweet Cow is an essential position within the organization, responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of ice cream and related products to the company’s various retail outlets and MooMobiles. This position reports directly to the Ice Cream Factory Manager and plays a critical role in maintaining the freshness, safety, and quality of products through careful handling and adherence to strict food safety standards. As a Delivery Driver, the individual will operate and maintain the company’s fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring safe transport and efficient route management.

Key responsibilities include managing weekly ingredient distribution, executing product deliveries with precision, and maintaining up-to-date inventory records using specialized product inventory management software. The driver will also support operations on the factory floor when necessary, assisting in the production of ice cream, ice cream cakes, and ice cream sammies. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage spaces and vehicles while following a rigorous FIFO (first in, first out) inventory rotation system is vital in preserving product quality.

Sweet Cow values excellent communication skills and expects the Distribution Delivery Driver to effectively liaise with retail shops, provide timely updates to management, and respond adaptively to feedback to foster smooth operational flow. The role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong planning and organizational skills, and demonstrates a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and teamwork. Physical fitness is required to handle lifting tasks up to 50 pounds, and applicants must be at least 18 years old with a spotless driving record. The position offers daytime shifts with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays, providing a work schedule flexible enough to meet business needs.

Compensation for this role starts at $22 per hour, providing a competitive wage that reflects the responsibilities involved. Sweet Cow also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 50% employer-paid health insurance, a 401(k) plan with 4% employer match, employee-paid dental and vision plans, and paid sick leave as mandated by Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA). Through this role, employees become integral to Sweet Cow’s mission to spread happiness through quality ice cream, while working in a supportive community-oriented environment dedicated to continuous improvement and shared success.
