Dispatcher Split Shift

We are currently seeking a full-time Dispatcher for our School Bus location in Bristol, CT. This position involves a split shift schedule, with morning and afternoon hours that are flexible to accommodate school half-days and other service needs. The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in managing and scheduling drivers, dispatching fixed routes and charters, and serving as a vital communication link between drivers, customers, and the operations team. Using various tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and mapping software like Google Maps and Map Point, the Dispatcher ensures efficient route planning and real-time support to drivers.

This role demands excellent organizational and multitasking skills, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In addition to scheduling and dispatch duties, the Dispatcher will handle clerical tasks, filing, and reporting that ensure smooth operations. Candidates who hold a CDL Class B license with P and S endorsements and have prior experience in the transportation industry or customer service are strongly preferred, though not mandatory.
