The role available is for a Dispatcher responsible for scheduling and dispatching temporary janitorial team members to various locations. This position offers an hourly wage of $15.00, with the exact offer varying based on experience, skillset, geographic location, and market alignment. The job is well-suited for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, including those with limited experience and education. Military veterans with relevant specialty codes are especially encouraged to apply.
As a Dispatcher, the individual will manage communication between team members, supervisors, and management to ensure efficient resource allocation. Key responsibilities include scheduling and dispatching team members, facilitating timely movement according to work orders, maintaining detailed dispatch records, and compiling reports on work progress. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in supporting ABM’s janitorial operations by ensuring that staffing needs are met promptly and accurately across various client sites.
This position requires strong multitasking abilities and interpersonal skills as it involves constant coordination via telephone and email. - One year of prior multi-line reception or dispatching experience preferred
- Experience scheduling and dispatching 50 or more employees preferred
Job Duties
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers
- Schedule and dispatch resources including team members, crews, and teams to appropriate locations according to customer requests and work orders
- Ensure timely and efficient movement of team members per resource schedules
- Oversee all communications within assigned area(s)
- Record and maintain files and records of dispatch information, including temporary employee time and schedules
- Confer with ABM supervisors and team members to address questions, problems, and coverage requests
- Compile statistics and reports on work progress
- Perform other duties as assigned
