Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is a well-established company specializing in the supply and delivery of essential construction materials. Known for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Quikrete operates within the heavy construction industry and serves a wide array of clients who depend on timely, reliable delivery services to keep their projects on track. With an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, Quikrete stands as a leader in its field, providing essential support to construction projects through dependable material provision and expert logistical operations.
The Dispatcher role at Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is a pivotal position within the company’s operational framework. This role involves managing the scheduling and dispatching of drivers to ensure timely delivery of materials, coordinating routes, and maintaining effective communication between drivers, customers, and plant locations. As a Dispatcher, you will be handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, often high-stress environment that requires calm, decisive problem-solving and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for compiling orders, scheduling deliveries, adjusting to daily volume changes, and providing support to both drivers and customers to maintain smooth, efficient operations.
Quikrete offers competitive wages along with opportunities for overtime, reflecting the company’s appreciation for the hard work and dedication of their employees. Additionally, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and a 401K plan to support financial security. The company’s commitment to employee growth is evident in the supportive work environment and hands-on training programs that prepare team members for success and advancement.
The Dispatcher role requires familiarity with the local delivery areas and the ability to assist drivers in locating job sites efficiently. This position demands strong organizational skills and the capability to quickly determine travel times and optimal plant locations for servicing each delivery. The Dispatcher must review and verify orders accurately before delivery and handle high call volumes while coordinating among office team members, drivers, and plants. Driver timekeeping functions, such as processing time-off requests and reviewing timecards, also form an integral part of this role.
Ideal candidates for the Dispatcher position will demonstrate a professional and respectful communication style with a talent for deescalating tense situations. The ability to remain composed under pressure, think critically, and foster positive relationships with customers and team members is essential. Prior dispatch experience is preferred, along with at least three years of customer service experience and proficiency with computer skills including typing and internet navigation. Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are an additional asset.
Joining Quikrete means becoming part of a team-oriented work environment supported by management dedicated to continuous improvement and employee development. The company invests in its people through ongoing training and a culture that encourages career progression. For those looking to build a meaningful career in logistics and construction materials delivery, the Dispatcher role at Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials presents a rewarding opportunity with competitive compensation and excellent benefits.
