MV Transportation is currently looking to hire a Dispatcher based in California. This position is integral to the daily operational effectiveness of routes under their management. The Dispatcher will be responsible for directing day-to-day route operations while ensuring compliance with client-specific requirements and adherence to company procedures. Reporting directly to Dispatch Supervisors, the Dispatcher plays a crucial role in maintaining communication channels with drivers and clients, managing route performance, and addressing service issues promptly and professionally. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and strong customer service skills are paramount.
As a Dispatcher at MV Transportation, you will contribute directly to the safe and timely operation of transit services by monitoring route activities, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring that all service protocols are met. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of previous dispatcher experience and possess high-level customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Knowledge of the service area and experience with transportation software like Trapeze will be considered advantageous. Job Requirements

- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- experience with Trapeze software

- able to demonstrate professional phone manner

Job Duties
- Take client calls and communicate issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as appropriate
- monitor radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality
- influence positive employee morale and quality customer service
- monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily
- assign trips to drivers to assure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes
- monitor daily system performance
- participate in analysis and review of operating performance
- note closed and or late starting of routes and communicate same to Dispatch Supervisors and or Dispatch Managers as appropriate
- perform all other duties as assigned
