Dishwasher/Utility Worker - Part-Time

This role is a part-time Dishwasher/Utility Worker position within Greensboro Urban Ministry’s Potter's House Community Kitchen. Reporting directly to the Director of Potter’s House, this role is critical in supporting kitchen operations to ensure the effective preparation and clean-up of meals served to residents and visitors. Working approximately 20-25 hours per week during weekday and weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Dishwasher/Utility Worker will assist the chef, staff, and volunteers by maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, washing dishes, and supporting meal preparation. The Potter’s House is an active environment that requires flexibility, compassion, and the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of individuals.

The position involves essential duties such as washing pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, assisting in the dining room and takeout window, and managing inventory of stock supplies. Preferred candidates will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in food service or kitchen environments, although this is not a strict requirement.
