The Dishwasher role at Sierra Medical Center, under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards necessary in a healthcare food service environment. This full-time position involves handling a variety of patient food service and dish duties, emphasizing the appropriate use of dish machines and chemicals and ensuring all kitchen equipment and areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This includes carts, storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, and floors, all of which are essential for preventing contamination and promoting patient safety. Additionally, the dishwasher performs special cleaning duties as assigned and works collaboratively within their department and across other hospital departments to maintain a hygienic and efficient food service operation.
