The dishwasher position at Sierra Medical Center, operating under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the food service department. This role supports the hospital’s commitment to patient care by ensuring that all kitchen equipment and areas are sanitized effectively, an essential part of infection control and patient safety.
The dishwasher's responsibilities include proficient use of dish machines and chemicals to clean kitchenware, thorough sanitization of all kitchen tools and storage areas such as carts, refrigerators, and freezers, as well as performing specialized cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintaining a positive working relationship within the department and across other hospital departments is essential, fostering teamwork aligned with the hospital's values.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to use dish machine and related chemicals safely and effectively
- Willingness to perform cleaning and sanitizing duties
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions and work collaboratively
