Job Description
4-K Housing is a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. The organization emphasizes walking the PATH of life together with its staff and residents, centering on core values such as Purpose, Acceptance, Thankfulness, and Harmony. These values are the foundation upon which 4-K Housing builds its community, ensuring a respectful, supportive, and engaging environment for its senior residents. The organization aims to promote happiness, health, and maximum independence among seniors by fostering meaningful relationships, connections, and a strong sense of belonging, which contribute to improved health outcomes and overall wellness.
Stoney Brook of Hewitt, one of the communities under 4-K Housing, is currently offering an outstanding opportunity for a Part-time (as needed) Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join their dedicated team. This role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. The Dishwasher/Utility Worker contributes significantly to the health and safety of residents by ensuring all tableware and kitchenware are sanitized, organized, and readily available. This position reports the status and function of equipment such as the dish machine and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment by properly disposing of waste and maintaining cleaning supplies.
Employees benefit from a rich package of comprehensive coverage including health, dental, and vision insurance with 4-K Housing covering over 50% of the cost. Life insurance is fully covered by the organization. Full-time employees receive generous paid vacation time scaled by years of service, exclusive discounts on auto, home, and pet insurance, and access to a range of perks including discounts on electronics, travel, apparel, home essentials, entertainment, fitness, and childcare. A confidential Employee Assistance Program is available to support employees with family, work, legal matters, and mental health. Additional financial incentive includes a $300 referral bonus for full-time employee referrals. The organization also encourages employee advancement with cross-training opportunities across its eight communities and supports retirement planning via a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Staff receive paid training to ensure readiness and success in their roles.
The position operates predominantly during an 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. shift with work scheduled as needed, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis, allowing flexibility for team members. This Dishwasher/Utility Worker role is a valuable entry point into senior health care employment with 4-K Housing, offering the chance to be part of a team that directly enhances the lives of seniors through dependable service, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. It requires someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, respectful environment and who is invested in supporting the community’s mission through their hard work and dedication. This is a great opportunity for those seeking a meaningful part-time position with competitive benefits and the chance to grow within a compassionate employer committed to making a difference in the health care industry.
