Job Description
The Archdiocese of St. Louis is a faith-based organization dedicated to teaching and sharing Catholic faith, serving others, and fostering unity throughout the St. Louis area. As a significant religious institution with a rich history, the Archdiocese operates many ministries and facilities, including the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center now serves as the headquarters and curia, which is the governing body for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. This location is central to various administrative and community-serving activities that reflect the Archdiocese's commitment to service and faith.
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team in the role of Dishwasher/Server at the Cardinal Rigali Center. This full-time position focuses on supporting the dining needs of our retired priests by ensuring a warm, safe, and enjoyable dining atmosphere. The role is vital in providing daily life support services that enhance the quality of life of our residents. You will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining area, assisting with meal service, and helping to serve food three times a day, seven days a week. The position involves meal preparation support, such as preparing cold bar items, serving in the dining room, and washing dishes on a rotating schedule.
This role demands a high level of commitment to quality and compassionate service, reflecting the Archdiocese's mission-driven community. You will work closely with our executive chef, kitchen staff, administration, and other team members to maintain the highest standards of food safety and presentation. We look for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while displaying kindness and respect toward our retired clergy. The work schedule includes two shifts, operating primarily from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, averaging approximately 40 hours per week. This opportunity comes with benefits such as health insurance and paid time off, offering both a stable work environment and the chance to contribute meaningfully to our community.
