NHC Place, Cavette Hill is a specialized healthcare facility dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care for patients requiring medical assistance and memory care. Situated in Knoxville, Tennessee, this establishment is designed to create a secure and comfortable environment that caters to the unique needs of its residents. The facility emphasizes a blend of clinical care with a homely atmosphere, offering individualized attention to promote the well-being of its patients as they age and their requirements evolve. With four distinct wings housing 15 apartments each, residents enjoy safe access to communal spaces including dining and group activities. The memory care wing is especially tailored to meet the specialized needs of those requiring dedicated support. Additionally, NHC Place, Cavette Hill features two secured courtyards, allowing residents to engage in safe outdoor activities, enhancing their quality of life within a protected setting.

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our team on a part-time basis, working 8-hour shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of our food service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food preparation and ensuring cleanliness within the kitchen area to uphold the highest levels of hygiene and efficiency. While previous kitchen experience is preferred, it is not a requirement, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their culinary skills in a supportive environment.

The Dishwasher/Prep Cook will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all food preparation adheres to standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards. Responsibilities will include various prep duties such as washing and chopping ingredients, assisting with cooking tasks under supervision, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment through thorough dishwashing and sanitation practices. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to work part-time 8-hour shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • previous kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform cleaning duties
  • commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards
