The Dishwasher/Prep position at Buffalo Wild Wings plays a vital role in the day-to-day success of the restaurant. This position is dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area by washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchenware, as well as assisting with basic food preparation tasks. The role also involves assisting in food preparation, cleaning and resetting tables, and maintaining the work area using the "clean as you go" method to ensure a safe and tidy workspace for all employees. Dishwashers must be active, energetic individuals capable of standing for extended periods and keeping pace in a busy restaurant environment. Essential duties also extend to sweeping and mopping floors and other tasks assigned by management to maintain overall kitchen safety and appearance.

This position is best suited for individuals with a guest service mentality who are self-starters, flexible, and eager to contribute to a team-oriented culture. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the workplace, both verbally and in writing, and must be capable of following written instructions carefully. Experience in food preparation within the restaurant industry is preferred, as is the ability to multitask effectively while prioritizing duties. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds are required due to the demanding nature of the position.

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, flatware, utensils and kitchenware
  • Maintaining proper storage and organization of dishes, flatware, utensils and kitchenware
  • Complying with sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Assisting team members with kitchen and food preparations
  • Clean, prepare and package various foods for cooking and serving
  • Clear and reset restaurant tables of dishware and trash and relocate to designated areas
  • Keeps station neat and clean by using the clean as you go method
