The position involves operating dishwashing equipment, cleaning bakery pots, pans, utensils, and dishware, performing basic culinary food preparation, and assisting the culinary team as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous dishwashing or food handling experience preferred
- Ability to safely use bakery equipment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
- Must be able to speak and read English
- Must have reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing or entry level food handling experience a plus
- Must be able to safely utilize all bakery equipment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in cross functional roles including front-of-house and back-of-house

Job Duties
- Operate dishwasher and pot sinks to wash and store pots, pans, utensils, and dishware
- Perform side work as needed such as breaking down boxes and removing trash, receiving and putting away paper and food orders
- Perform daily cleaning including sinks, drains, metro shelves, trash bins, floors, walk-in freezer/refrigerator, and grease traps
- Prepare baked goods following recipes and standard operating procedures such as scooping cookies, cutting bars/cookies, and mixing buttercreams
- Ensure food preparation, handling, and storage adhere to food safety code standards
- Maintain clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with health department standards
- Report sanitation or janitorial issues to manager on duty
- Operate and properly use bakery equipment including mixers, induction burners, and dishwashers
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory
- Assist culinary team with production as needed
