Job Description
Fox Ridge Bryant is a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care community located in Bryant, Arkansas. The role being offered is that of a Community Utility Associate, a vital member of the food service team responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions within the community's food services, facilities, and equipment. This position plays a key role in supporting the food service operations by ensuring all kitchenware such as dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and glassware are properly washed and sanitized. The Community Utility Associate also manages the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities, including storage and rotation of food and supplies, garbage removal, and keeping the floors clean after each meal.
The successful candidate will be expected to follow all food handling procedures and safety regulations carefully, contributing to a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff alike. They must be capable of operating standard kitchen appliances such as garbage disposals, microwaves, coffee makers, and ice machines. Additionally, they may support food preparation tasks, inventory management, delivery handling, and stocking shelves as needed. Effective communication with kitchen staff and other team members is essential, as well as the ability to promptly report injuries and changes in resident health conditions to supervisors.

Job Requirements
- May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned
- may be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired
- may be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day)
- may be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses
- could be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental status
- must be in good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
- background, criminal, and drug tests may be required
- may be asked to submit to random drug test during employment
- may have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising
- may be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents apartments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
- some kitchen experience is desirable
- basic knife skills required
- ability to handle multiple priorities
- must have organizational and time management skills
- demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- physically able to bend and reach
- physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary
- physically able to stand for extended periods of time
Job Duties
- Follows the posted work schedule and arrives on time and in appropriate work attire
- responsible for the proper washing of china, flatware, glassware, and other kitchen equipment including machine rinse pressure and water temperature
- responsible for maintaining the kitchen and other assigned areas in a sanitary condition
- establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with other kitchen personnel and residents
- must be familiar with food-handling procedures and regulations
- must know how to operate kitchen appliances such as garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, and ice machine
- may be required to help with food preparation, inventory, and maintenance as well as food deliveries and stocking shelves
