Levy is seeking a Dishwasher for the University of Central Florida, offering a competitive pay range of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. The Dishwasher position is an entry-level role that plays a critical part in maintaining high sanitation standards and supporting the front-of-house and kitchen operations.
The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition. This involves manual washing or operating dishwashing machines, ensuring all items meet cleanliness and sanitation standards. The role also includes polishing silverware using various equipment and cleaning tools, maintaining safe chemical levels and temperatures, and adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols to comply with regulatory and company standards.
Additional duties include sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, cleaning work tables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces, removing trash, steam cleaning garbage cans, and assisting with the transfer of supplies and equipment. The Dishwasher will be a vital team member who contributes to the overall operational efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, supporting a hygienic environment for employees and guests.

Job Requirements
- Ability to perform manual washing and operate dishwashing equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift moderate weights
- Willingness to follow safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass Florida Level 2 background screening if required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
