Job Description

HVMG, or Hotel Valet Management Group, is a leading hospitality management company known for its commitment to creating a culture of excellence within the hotel industry. With years of experience managing full-service hotels nationwide, HVMG prides itself on fostering an environment where every team member has the opportunity to grow and succeed. The company invests in its people and emphasizes professional development, making it a desirable employer for those seeking long-term careers in hospitality. HVMG’s mission of delivering exceptional guest experiences is supported by its focus on inclusivity, employee well-being, and career advancement opportunities.

The Dishwasher/Steward role is fundamental to the operational success of the kitchen team within HVMG’s hotels. As a Dishwasher/Steward, you will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchenware, equipment, and work areas are meticulously cleaned and organized. This role supports the culinary staff by maintaining stringent sanitation standards, enabling chefs and cooks to execute their duties efficiently without the hindrance of disorganization or uncleanliness. The position requires individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic, as they play an essential part in upholding the quality and safety standards of the kitchen.

In this role, you won’t just be washing dishes; you will be a key contributor to the kitchen’s smooth and effective operations. Your daily responsibilities will include washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment; ensuring the cleanliness of floors, surfaces, and the overall kitchen environment; and assisting with basic food preparation tasks when needed. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef, you will be part of a dedicated team that upholds HVMG’s Culture of Excellence through professionalism and teamwork.

The Dishwasher/Steward position offers a flexible schedule that may involve evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights, catering to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. It is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in hospitality, as the role offers potential career advancement into positions such as line cook, prep cook, or kitchen management roles. HVMG values internal promotion, and many senior leaders began their careers in entry-level positions, affirming the belief that you can control your career trajectory within the company.

Associates at HVMG enjoy a range of benefits that include access to up to 40 percent of their earned wages before payday through PayActive, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays. Comprehensive healthcare benefits cover medical, dental, and vision plans, while a 401(k) retirement plan with a guaranteed 4 percent company match and no vesting period provides financial security for the future. Additionally, employees benefit from exclusive hotel and food-and-beverage discounts, enhancing their overall work experience.

In summary, joining HVMG as a Dishwasher/Steward provides a valuable opportunity to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry with a reputable management company that supports its workforce with flexible scheduling, competitive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
