The role of Steward / Dishwasher at Appellation Lodi is essential to maintaining the quality and smoothness of daily kitchen operations. The steward/dishwasher supports the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen and various facility areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained. This includes cleaning workspaces like receiving areas, kitchen floors, trash receptacles, and outdoor spaces such as patios and dumpster zones. The position requires routine janitorial duties during business hours, including trash removal and floor cleaning, with a strong emphasis on sanitation and hygiene standards. The steward/dishwasher is responsible for pre-rinsing, soaking, washing, and sanitizing all types of plateware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware to maintain impeccable cleanliness without letting items build up. Additionally, the role involves cleaning kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, grills, hoods, and work tables, guaranteeing that all under surfaces remain free of debris.
