As a Dishwasher at Cunningham Restaurant Group, you are an essential part of the team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. This role is fundamental to delivering a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for both staff and guests. The Dishwasher is tasked with cleaning dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or hand washing techniques. In addition to dishwashing duties, the role supports the kitchen by assisting with collecting and returning items, helping with basic food preparation when needed, and ensuring proper waste management by emptying and cleaning trash bins regularly.
The position also includes preventive maintenance of dishwashing equipment to ensure operational efficiency and timely reporting of any malfunctions. Dishwashers are responsible for restocking clean items in designated storage areas and organizing cleaning supplies in compliance with safety standards. A strong focus on health and safety protocols is mandatory, including the correct handling of chemicals and personal hygiene practices such as wearing appropriate uniforms and protective gear.
No previous experience is required for this role as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free of food residue
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area
- Assist kitchen staff by collecting and returning kitchen tools, pots, and pans to their designated areas
- Empty and clean trash bins regularly to maintain a hygienic environment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables or portioning ingredients, as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on dishwashing equipment to ensure it operates efficiently
- Report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
- Restock clean dishes, glassware, and utensils in their designated storage areas
- Ensure that cleaning supplies and chemicals are properly stored and labeled
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents
- Follow sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination
