Set amid ten acres of lush parkland and enhanced by architecture that reflects Old World charm combined with modern luxury, Waverly Gardens provides an ideal environment for older adults. The community offers a variety of care options including Assisted Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Care Center/Long Term Care, ensuring residents receive personalized support suited to their individual needs.
Waverly Gardens is currently seeking dedicated Part-Time Dishwashers to join their supportive team. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant dining environment for residents and guests. Openings include morning and evening shifts, specifically 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 44 hours per pay period. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $19.09 to $20.59 per hour, reflecting PHS’s commitment to rewarding the valuable contributions of its employees.
As part of the team at Waverly Gardens, dishwashers play a fundamental role in the overall dining experience by ensuring all kitchen and dining utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health regulations and PHS policies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in dishwashing, food service, or similar role preferred
- Ability to work flexible part-time shifts including early mornings and evenings
- Reliable transportation to the Waverly Gardens location
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain hygiene standards
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to PHS values and faith-based mission
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS mission and operating philosophies
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to communicate with customers and team
- Experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to health regulations
- Operate dishwashing machines and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Assist with meal preparation and dining room setup as needed
- Follow established safety and hygiene policies and procedures
- Support the dietary team to ensure a high-quality dining experience
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and dining staff
- Maintain inventory of dishwashing supplies and report shortages
