Job Requirements
- Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand instructions and safety guidelines
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds safely
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions without loss of efficiency
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain consistent kitchen operations
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment
- Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow detailed instructions
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and counters
- Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated areas for use by kitchen and service staff
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and ensure waste areas are kept clean and odor-free
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks or other duties as assigned during slower periods
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a sanitary work environment
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly
