The role of Dish Washer is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency within the Food Services department at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. This position operates under the supervision of Retail Management within the restaurant environment and is designed for individuals who perform semi-routine kitchen duties while upholding a positive and professional attitude that supports the overarching mission of the organization. The Dish Washer is responsible for operating dishwashing machinery, cleaning pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen appliances to ensure all food preparation and service equipment meets sanitation standards. Beyond the essential task of dishwashing, this role includes maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, assisting kitchen staff as needed, and managing inventory flow by stocking and rotating supplies.
