Job Duties
- Focuses on keeping dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to highest health and kitchen standards
- Maintains dish machine by checking chemical levels and reporting malfunctions
- Understands and operates dish machine correctly
- Keeps chemical testers on hand
- Uses all sanitizing materials appropriately
- Checks and empties trash periodically
- Organizes dish area including pots, pans, sinks, and silverware
- Maintains pace in washing pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware
- Exercises caution with breakables such as dishes and glassware
- Keeps floors clean from spills, grease, and trash
- Assists with kitchen preparation and cleaning as needed
- Maintains professional relationships with chefs, line cooks, coworkers, and front-of-house staff
- Upholds all health and sanitation standards as required by Neiman Marcus and regulatory agencies
