We are currently seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join our team at Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital located at 11113 Research Boulevard, Austin, TX 78759. This position operates Monday through Friday with varying hours and requires weekend availability. The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and related areas, ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, trays, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This role is essential for meeting health and safety standards within a busy hospital environment, directly supporting the overall patient care experience by maintaining a sanitary food service operation.

The ideal candidate will have prior dishwashing or food service experience, showcasing reliability and attention to detail. Responsibilities include manual and machine dishwashing, polishing silverware, maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment, managing waste disposal, and adhering to stringent safety and sanitation protocols. Job Duties

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or with dishwashing machine
  • ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans and trays
  • polishes silverware using appropriate equipment and methods
  • maintains temperatures and chemical levels as required
  • keeps dishwashing area orderly and complies with safety standards
  • sweeps and mops kitchen floors
  • washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
  • removes trash and steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
  • transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • assists with loading and unloading supplies and product
  • performs other duties as assigned
