Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or machine
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays
- Polishes silverware using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth
- Maintains safety and sanitation standards including temperature and chemical level monitoring
- Keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces
- Removes trash, cleans garbage cans, transfers supplies and equipment, and assists with loading and unloading supplies
