This position, typically scheduled for the AM shift over weekends (Saturday-Sunday), requires dedication to keeping dishes and utensils sanitized and properly stored to meet health and safety regulations. The Dishwasher works closely with the kitchen staff, helping prepare the dish room before meal services, transporting dishes, washing and sanitizing utensils, and ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including responsibilities such as breaking down the kitchen post-meal and managing general sanitation tasks like cleaning sinks, drains, and steam tables.
