Job Requirements
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Prior senior living experience preferred
- Ability to work part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
- Flexibility to work varying days and hours based on business needs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and repetitive motions
- Must comply with safety and sanitation standards
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to pass any required background screening
Job Qualifications
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Experience in senior living food service preferred
- Ability to operate dishwashing machines and related equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays
- Polishes silverware using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth based on assigned procedures
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards
- Keeps dishwashing area orderly and compliant with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
- Removes trash, places it in designated containers, and steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Assists with loading and unloading supplies and product
- Performs other duties as assigned
