This role is for a Dishwasher position at Oakmont of Santa Clarita, designed to support the smooth operation of the community's dining services. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by ensuring that dishes and utensils are clean, sanitized, and properly stored at all times. This position requires careful attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work cooperatively with other team members. As a member of the team, the Dishwasher ensures that all items used during meal service are handled following the highest hygiene standards, contributing to a safe environment for residents, staff, and guests. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Six months of experience in a kitchen or similar environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Must pass a criminal background check and health screenings
- Willingness to comply with COVID-19 related health and safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible shifts as required
Job Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
Job Duties
- Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service
- Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes
- Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils
- Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas
- Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up
- Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains
- Empty the trash
- Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
- Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
