This specific role is part-time, non-management, and located at 35 14th St NE, Atlanta, Georgia, within the category of Food and Beverage & Culinary operations. The position primarily centers around cleaning and maintenance responsibilities essential to the smooth functioning of the kitchen and surrounding areas. Core responsibilities include operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. The role demands strict adherence to sanitation protocols by washing and disinfecting kitchen and storeroom spaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment to uphold food safety standards.
Additionally, this role requires managing deliveries and proper storage of perishables, ensuring stock rotation, and maintaining cleanliness standards by disposing of waste correctly and recycling. The employee is expected to use a variety of chemicals in a controlled manner for sanitizing dishes, sorting and washing silverware thoroughly, and handling waste by breaking down trash and recyclables. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and other movements necessary to perform job duties effectively.
The position does not require a high school diploma or previous work experience and no supervisory skills or certifications are necessary, making it accessible for entry-level candidates who are eager to be part of a respected luxury hospitality brand. Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dish washing machine, hand wash station, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
- Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, sending soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
- Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue
- Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
- Breakdown dirty bus tubs
- Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
- Dispose of glass in the proper containers
- Break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in the recycle bin
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Protect company assets
- Use clear and professional language
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships

- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds
