This position is a part-time, non-management role in the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, offering a pay range of $26.82 to $33.52 per hour. The role is based on-site and involves a key support function within the resort’s culinary and housekeeping operations. The primary responsibility is operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment. This includes the operation of dishwashing machines, hand wash and pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors to maintain hygiene standards. The role also involves handling deliveries, proper storage and rotation of perishables, and ensuring clean wares are adequately stored.

This job is vital in supporting the overall guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all food and beverage preparation and storage areas. The candidate will use various cleaning chemicals and detergents to sanitize kitchen utensils and dishwares while inspecting and ensuring the thorough cleanliness of all items before use. Additional duties include managing waste disposal responsibly, recycling recyclable materials, and adhering to all company safety and security policies. The position requires physical activity such as moving, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods, demanding stamina and attention to safety.

Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machine and pot-scrubbing station
  • wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries and store perishables properly with rotation
  • ensure clean wares are stored appropriately
  • use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes
  • inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items and send soiled items back for re-cleaning
  • rack and spray all racked items with hot water to remove food residue
  • sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
  • break down dirty bus tubs
  • empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas
  • clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
  • dispose of glass in proper containers
  • break down cardboard boxes for recycling
  • follow all company safety policies and report maintenance needs
  • protect company assets and communicate professionally
