Job Requirements

  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines and compactors
  • knowledge of sanitation and cleaning protocols
  • ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform bending and reaching movements for prolonged periods
  • adherence to safety and hygiene standards
  • eligibility to work in the United States
  • willingness to perform tasks as assigned by supervisors

Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machine, hand-washing stations, pot scrubber, and trash compactor
  • wash and sanitize kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries, store perishable goods properly, and rotate stock
  • ensure clean dishes are stored in the appropriate areas
  • use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse agents in a three-compartment sink to wash dishes
  • inspect, remove, stack clean items, and send dirty items back for re-washing
  • place all items on racks and apply hot water spray to loosen and remove food residues
  • sort, soak, and wash or rewash cutlery
  • sort and separate containers for dirty items
  • empty trash bins and maintain trash disposal area
  • clean and mop all assigned areas
  • discard glass in proper containers
  • break down cardboard boxes and other recyclables and place them in recycling containers
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to the manager
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • protect company assets
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • develop and maintain positive work relationships and support the team to achieve common goals
  • ensure compliance with quality standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, and stoop
  • perform other reasonable work tasks as assigned by supervisors
