Shaner Hotels' Buffalo Marriott LECOM HARBORCENTER presents an exciting opportunity in the heart of downtown Buffalo’s vibrant Canalside Entertainment District. This 205-room hotel is conveniently located off I-190 and is directly connected to Key Bank Center, the renowned home of the NHL Buffalo Sabres. Apart from its prime urban location, guests can enjoy proximity to Niagara Falls, a world-famous natural landmark just a short drive away. The property boasts modern, stylishly furnished rooms, sophisticated meeting spaces, and a unique seventh-floor restaurant and bar that offers breathtaking views of Lake Erie and the Buffalo skyline.
This hiring opportunity is for the position of a Housekeeping Dishwasher at the Buffalo Marriott LECOM HARBORCENTER, available both on a part-time and full-time basis, with a starting pay rate of $16.50 per hour. This role is critical in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the hotel’s kitchen and dining areas. The successful candidate will adhere strictly to state sanitation and health regulations as well as internal hotel standards to ensure the highest quality of hygiene and safety is maintained throughout the facility.
The dishwasher will be responsible for operating dishwashing machinery by following detailed hotel specifications and standards to efficiently wash restaurant and kitchen wares, including pots, pans, and utensils. Maintaining equipment and assigned areas to the highest standard of cleanliness and functionality is a key part of this role. The role requires handling cleaning chemicals appropriately according to OSHA guidelines and hotel policies to ensure safe and effective cleaning practices.
Flexibility in scheduling is crucial for this role, with the expectation of availability to work on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts based on operational needs. The role also demands physical strength and stamina as it involves standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Effective communication skills are important to collaborate with management and co-workers to maintain smooth operation and high standards.
