We are currently seeking diligent and motivated individuals to join our team in a vital role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen facilities. The position entails the corrective use and maintenance of dishwashing machines, as well as the washing of all kitchenware—including glasses, dishes, pots, and pans—using designated equipment and procedures. The role is critical in supporting food safety and sanitation standards by ensuring that all kitchen utensils and surfaces remain spotless. Additionally, responsibilities include sweeping and mopping kitchen areas, managing waste disposal with thorough sanitization, and adhering to strict safety protocols including Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in kitchen or sanitation preferred
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitary procedures
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning and lifting tasks
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Use established guidelines to correctively utilize and maintain dish machine
  • Wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack
  • Wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area
  • Ensure that all cleaning is performed that is required to keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times
  • Sweep up broken glass/dishes and mop up any spills
  • Empty full and heavy trash cans
  • Spray and sanitize trash cans after each use
  • Place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning
  • Follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols
  • Follow all safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned
  • Assist with plating banquet events when needed
