Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior dishwasher and/or steward experience required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, sweeping and standing for long periods
  • Availability to work on call schedule, including weekends and seasonal shifts
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow safety procedures including wearing protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Prior dishwasher or steward experience
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in kitchen environments
  • Ability to work flexible, on call schedules including weekends and seasonal shifts
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move supplies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
  • Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
  • Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures
  • Polishes silverware using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
  • Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards
  • Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
