Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous dishwashing experience preferred
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs
  • capability to work in hot and humid conditions
  • availability for flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • understanding of sanitation and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • dishwashing experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • able to read documents and written instructions to understand sanitation requirements, safety rules, equipment operation and maintenance, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus
  • able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and all holidays
  • able to stand for long hours often in wet conditions
  • able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • able to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment
  • able to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
  • able to operate dishwashing equipment safely

Job Duties

  • ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment used in the kitchen
  • operating the dishwasher and following proper procedures for loading and unloading items
  • sorting, stacking, and organizing clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas
  • maintaining a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping floors and wiping down surfaces
  • adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of chemicals and sanitizing solutions
  • collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of clean dishes
  • following all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment for yourself and others
  • providing support to the kitchen team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to help in various tasks
