The role of Dishwasher, Maintenance, Prep, and Kitchen Helper at Stix is a multifaceted position integral to the smooth functioning of the kitchen and overall restaurant environment. This is a full-time position involving a range of duties, including cooking rice and soup to prepare for service, prepping salads, vegetables, meats, and seafood throughout the shift, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in various kitchen areas such as dishwashing stations and storage rooms. The employee will be responsible for operating the dish machine using the proper procedures set by the establishment, stocking dishware correctly, cleaning pots and pans thoroughly, and assisting the Hibachi chefs by setting carts as needed.

Additionally, the role encompasses maintenance tasks such as changing air filters, dusting crown moldings, taking out trash, breaking down boxes, and ensuring that the dumpster area remains clean and orderly. The candidate must maintain adherence to all food safety policies while completing rigorous cleaning and maintenance duties, which include physically demanding work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The position requires heavy lifting, detail-oriented cleaning, organizing deliveries, proper labeling and rotation of products, and assisting bussers in maintaining cleanliness in dining areas and restrooms.
