Job Description
LOCAL Public Eatery is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences in a welcoming and community-focused environment. As a clean casual restaurant, LPE blends a passion for quality ingredients, genuine hospitality, and laidback fun vibes to create a place where both guests and team members feel valued and inspired. With a commitment to unmatched customer service and a menu that evolves seasonally, LOCAL Public Eatery operates in neighborhoods they truly love, prioritizing not only the environment but fostering a culture of warmth, passion, and care among its staff and guests alike. Their ethos centers on creating unexpectedly memorable experiences through thoughtful interactions and teamwork, supporting continuous learning, growth, and development for every partner on their team.
The Dishwasher role at LOCAL Public Eatery is a cornerstone position that upholds the smooth functioning and sanitation of the kitchen. Positioned at the heart of the back-of-house operations, the role ensures that the kitchen has a perfect foundation—spotlessly clean dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment—to execute flawless menu preparations and serve the community. This position demands the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining a commitment to safety and hygiene standards.
As a Dishwasher, you are not just cleaning; you are an essential part of the team whose professionalism and attention to detail allows the kitchen to succeed. Your duties span from operating and maintaining the dishwashing machinery—including setting up, cleaning, polishing, and breaking down the equipment regularly—to managing the sanitization of dishwater and ensuring all cleaning cycles meet strict health code regulations. Beyond the physical aspects, this position involves collaboration with the team, supporting opening and closing activities, and contributing proactively to a safe, sanitary kitchen environment.
LOCAL Public Eatery seeks individuals who are eager to learn, quick to adapt, and enthusiastic about teamwork. No previous experience is required, making this an excellent entry point for those passionate about the restaurant industry and looking to grow. The ability to safely handle heavy lifting, endure long periods of standing, and handle repetitive tasks is essential. Local or state food handler permits must be currently held or obtainable by the employee, enforcing the commitment to health and safety that LPE upholds.
Importantly, LOCAL Public Eatery fosters core values like agility, curiosity, humility, integrity, a sense of fun, and resiliency—qualities that allow team members to thrive, enjoy their work, and delight in their contributions. The workplace culture encourages kindness, open communication, and mutual support, all integral to maintaining a positive and inclusive team atmosphere.
Flexible scheduling allows team members to find balance between work and life commitments, and eligible partners gain access to comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages alongside other benefits that support their well-being. Employees receive a discounted rate on delicious food, a referral bonus to bring in great talent, and continuous personal and professional development opportunities. Joining LOCAL Public Eatery means becoming part of a community where every partner has a seat at the table and the chance to contribute meaningfully to an evolving, growing brand.
Whether you are seeking a seasonal role, a stepping stone, or a long-term career, LOCAL Public Eatery welcomes your enthusiasm and dedication. Apply today and become part of a company that values your individuality, invests in your growth, and commits to shared success.
