We are currently hiring a Dishwasher to join our team at the Kent County Correctional Facility. This is a full-time position guaranteeing at least 30 hours per week, offering a competitive pay rate ranging from $16 to $18 per hour with shifts available between 4AM and 7PM. As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and operational areas, ensuring the smooth and safe running of food service activities. In this role, your main responsibilities will include cleaning dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, kitchen equipment, and utensils to meet the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. Reporting any maintenance or equipment issues to management is a crucial part of maintaining operational efficiency. Additionally, you may assist with light maintenance and custodial tasks aligned with safety and sanitation policies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in dishwashing or food service is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Effective communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Positive attitude and good customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • Reports any equipment issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
