Currently, Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for both full-time and part-time DISHWASHER positions located at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. The dishwasher role involves a variety of responsibilities including scraping and rinsing food from dishes, washing pots, pans, and trays either by hand or machine, polishing utensils and silverware, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior dishwashing or similar experience preferred
- Ability to handle physical workload including lifting and standing
- Availability to work varying shifts including weekends
- Compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or in dishwashing machine ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Polishes silverware using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers and cleans garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Helps load and unload supplies and product
- Performs other duties as assigned
