Job Description
Our establishment is a dedicated healthcare facility committed to providing exceptional patient care and support services in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. We operate in the healthcare industry with a strong focus on dietary and nutritional services essential for patient health and recovery. Our team is composed of compassionate professionals who work collaboratively to uphold high standards of hygiene, food safety, and delivery efficiency. We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. This role is vital in ensuring the food service routine operates smoothly to meet the nutritional needs of our patients and residents.
The Dietary Aide role involves assisting in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. Reporting directly to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in every step of the food service process—from setting up meal trays to operating dishwashers and ensuring food safety compliance. This position requires a proactive individual who can learn and adapt quickly, paying attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and proper food handling procedures. The Dietary Aide is expected to contribute positively by assisting with various duties such as preparing snacks, monitoring dishwasher temperatures, and restocking groceries in an orderly manner. Furthermore, maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment through sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces and refrigerators is essential.
Your role also involves participating in training programs to stay updated with dietary protocols and safety standards. Although this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, it demands a cooperative attitude to harmonize efforts with other departments and personnel. Physical stamina is essential as the duties involve frequent standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities within a kitchen environment. Professionalism, attention to safety regulations, and the ability to follow instructions accurately are critical to success in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in food service within the healthcare sector, contributing to patient wellness while developing valuable skills in food preparation and sanitation.
