TPC Southwind is a prestigious private golf club located in the gated community of Southwind in Southeast Memphis, Tennessee. Renowned for its challenging par-70, 7,244-yard golf course, TPC Southwind serves as the host venue for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, a notable event on the PGA Tour. The club boasts a modern-style, 34,000 square-foot clubhouse that features elegant wood furnishings and offers an inviting atmosphere for social gatherings, private events, and corporate entertainment. We are currently seeking to hire a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our kitchen and surrounding work areas. The Dishwasher will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other items used in food preparation and service, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. In addition to cleaning duties, the Dishwasher will help uphold a safe and organized environment in employee areas, dumpster zones, and receiving areas, contributing directly to the operational efficiency of the Food & Beverage Department.
This position offers an hourly wage between $15.00 and $16.00 based on experience. The role includes valuable benefits such as a free employee meal provided daily and a 30% discount at the club’s Golf Shop. The Dishwasher will work under varying shift schedules depending on business needs, with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical demands of the job require the ability to stand, walk, kneel, use hands to handle or feel objects, talk, and hear regularly. The role also involves lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds and necessitates good vision capabilities to perform tasks safely and efficiently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, use hands to handle or feel
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Good vision including close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations
- Willingness to work shifts as needed based on business levels
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
Job Duties
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in employee changing room/restrooms and back-of-the-house employee areas as well as elevator, dumpster and receiving area
- Empty trash cans from dish room, kitchen and storeroom into appropriate refuge receptacles regularly ensuring correct supervision for recyclable items
- Remove empty boxes from kitchen and storage areas on a regular basis to dumpster area
- Keep equipment, floor, and work areas clean, free of slip, trip and fall hazards and in good working order at all times
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans and utensils in accordance to local guidelines to ensure proper supply levels to operate Food & Beverage Department efficiently
- Assist in the storing of grocery and supply items
- Assume responsibility for proper set up and operation of dish machine, three compartment sink, garbage disposer and chemical dispensing systems and notify supervisor of any malfunctions
