As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for utilizing and maintaining dishwashing machines in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring glasses and dishes are cleaned properly using standard dish racks, and washing pots and pans exclusively in designated areas. The role demands meticulous attention to cleanliness in the kitchen, which includes sweeping up broken glass or dishes and promptly mopping any spills to maintain a neat and safe environment. Handling trash is an essential duty, involving emptying heavy and full trash cans, sanitizing them after use, and replacing trash bags to ensure hygiene standards are continually met. The role requires strict adherence to all Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) protocols and safety guidelines to protect both staff and guests. Additionally, the Kitchen Steward will perform other assigned duties throughout various areas of the kitchen, including occasional assistance with plating banquet events, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in kitchen or hospitality environment preferred

Job Duties
- Use established guidelines to correctively utilize and maintain dish machine
- wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack
- wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area
- ensure that all cleaning is performed that is required to keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times including sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping up any spills
- empty full and heavy trash cans
- make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use
- place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning
- follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols as well as safety guidelines
- perform other duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned including assisting with plating banquet events when needed
