The role primarily involves operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment, including dish machines and pot washers, according to established guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for washing dishes, glasses, pots, and pans while ensuring that proper sanitation and cleanliness standards are consistently met. Beyond dishwashing, the role requires routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash cans with proper sanitizing procedures. The position also requires adherence to safety protocols, including compliance with Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines and other safety measures to ensure a hazard-free kitchen environment.

This role demands a high level of self-initiative and the ability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, making flexibility a key requirement. The individual will be part of a dedicated team that works collaboratively to support overall kitchen operations and guest satisfaction. Occasionally, the role may involve assisting in other kitchen duties, such as plating banquet events, demonstrating versatility and a team-oriented approach to work. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is an advantage
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • strong teamwork skills
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Use established guidelines to correctively utilize and maintain dish machine
  • wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack
  • wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area
  • ensure that all cleaning is performed that is required to keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times
  • including sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping up any spills
  • empty full and heavy trash cans
  • make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use
  • place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning
  • follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols, as well as safety guidelines
  • perform other duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned, including assisting with plating banquet events when needed
