Part of the global ISS Group, Guckenheimer stands out for its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and inclusivity in the workplace. The company operates in multiple sectors, including corporate dining, healthcare, and education, focusing on delivering high-quality food services that meet client expectations and nutritional standards.
As a full-time employer, Guckenheimer offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, alongside a robust leave program tailored to employee status. The company fosters a culture of safety, respect, and professional growth, aligning with ISS Group’s vision of making the international community more resilient and just for all. This philosophy permeates its operations and is reflected in its diverse and inclusive workplace environment.
The current role is for a Delivery Driver and Kitchen Support position, combining responsibilities that are crucial to the smooth operation and delivery of Guckenheimer’s culinary services. This role operates primarily from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, providing a balanced work schedule conducive to work-life harmony. With an hourly wage ranging from $21.50 to $22.50, this position offers competitive compensation complemented by the stability of a full-time role within an internationally respected organization.
The Delivery Driver and Kitchen Support will be tasked with key functions such as washing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils, maintaining cleanliness of floors and storage areas, and assisting in food preparation when necessary. This multifaceted role requires a blend of physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety are met consistently.
Moreover, the employee will handle the logistics of delivering prepared foods from the production kitchen to various sites according to a predetermined schedule, ensuring timely and safe distribution. Responsibilities extend to loading and unloading containers, hot carts, and utensils while maintaining product rotation and proper labeling in walk-ins and food storage areas to uphold quality and compliance with safety guidelines.
Critical to success in this role is the ability to work effectively in both hot and cold environments, cooperating closely with the Executive Chef, Front of House Manager, and Catering Manager on diverse projects. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with on-site porters and pantry supervisors to facilitate food delivery and storage management, reinforcing a team-oriented approach to service delivery.
Safety and regulatory compliance are paramount, with the employee expected to adhere to workplace safety guidelines, food safety protocols, HACCP standards, and internal audit procedures daily. Physical demands include standing for up to eight hours, lifting weights of at least 25 pounds, and performing various manual movements such as stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching. Proper dress code adherence and the ability to work under pressure, especially during peak periods, are also essential.
Guckenheimer’s commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies ensures a safe, environmentally responsible, and high-quality work environment. Employees are encouraged to engage fully in HSEQ training and proactive hazard reporting. This role not only supports the operational excellence of Guckenheimer’s food services but also embodies the company’s dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where every employee can thrive.
This position requires a valid state driver’s license, a clean and safe DMV driving record, a current Food Handler card, and the applicant must be at least 18 years old. Guckenheimer does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies, which underscores its structured and dedicated approach to recruitment. They maintain a respectful and professional hiring process, aligned with the values of ISS Group to lead by example in equality and opportunity.
Joining Guckenheimer means becoming part of a forward-thinking company poised at the intersection of culinary excellence and exceptional service logistics. It presents opportunities for career advancement, continuous learning, and being part of a global network committed to diversity, sustainability, and innovation in food service management.
