Job Description

Hillside in McMinnville, Oregon, is a distinguished HumanGood community nationally recognized as a 2025-2026 Best Senior Living community by U.S. News & World Report for Independent Living and Memory Care. HumanGood is one of the largest nonprofit owners and operators of senior living communities in the United States, committed to enriching the lives of seniors by providing high-quality, compassionate care and supportive services. Hillside offers a welcoming environment where residents are encouraged to thrive and maintain their independence while receiving the care they need. The community strives to create a setting that feels like home for residents, which is supported by a dedicated and passionate team of professionals who are invested in the wellness and happiness of each person they serve.

The Dishwasher role at Hillside plays an essential role in maintaining the community’s standards of cleanliness and safety. Operating under general supervision, the Dishwasher will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchenware, tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment are kept impeccably clean and sanitized. This position is vital to supporting kitchen operations by providing a hygienic and safe workspace for culinary staff and promoting overall food safety. The Dishwasher also ensures the dish room and equipment remain clean, organized, and in good working order, contributing directly to the kitchen’s efficiency and effectiveness.

This full-time position has a schedule from Thursday to Monday, with shifts on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 PM to 9 PM, and weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The pay starts at $17 per hour and may increase based on experience. Hillside values team members who bring enthusiasm and dedication, reflecting the HumanGood culture of compassion and teamwork.

As a Dishwasher, you will take 100 percent responsibility for the cleanliness of all dishware, kitchenware, and tableware used throughout the community. Your duties will include loading, running, and unloading the dish machine; maintaining the dish machine’s cleanliness; promptly reporting any mechanical issues to management; washing and properly storing all items to ensure easy access and sufficient supply; and keeping the dish room clean, organized, and efficient. By fulfilling these duties with care and attention to detail, you contribute to a positive dining experience for residents and support your colleagues in delivering outstanding care and service.

HumanGood offers more than just a job. When you join the Hillside team, you become part of a larger mission to help seniors live their best lives as defined by themselves. Employees enjoy an excellent benefits package which includes 20 days of paid time off plus seven company holidays that increase with years of service, 401(k) plans with up to a 4 percent employer match and immediate vesting, health, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month after employment begins, a cell phone plan allowance of $25 or more per line, tuition reimbursement to support ongoing education and career growth, and an employee assistance program designed to provide well-being support. The supportive culture at Hillside encourages personal and professional growth, making it a rewarding place to work for those who want to make a meaningful difference.
