We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our busy kitchen team. The Dishwasher plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall operation of the kitchen by ensuring all dishware, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Dishwasher will be responsible for cleaning dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and utensils used throughout their shift, as well as helping to put away deliveries and keep the dishwashing station in optimal condition. They will set up and manage the three compartment sink for equipment requiring hand washing and must be knowledgeable about the chemicals and procedures used at each stage of the cleaning process.
The successful candidate will be expected to sweep and mop floors as necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary environment and communicate openly with fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations. This role demands the ability to lift items weighing between 25 and 50 pounds and requires prolonged physical activity involving bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and stretching, as well as continuous use of fingers and wrists. We value excellent communication skills and the willingness to collaborate closely with other team members to contribute to a cohesive work atmosphere.
