This job opportunity is for the position of Dishwasher at Nebraska Wesleyan University through Sodexo, a leading global provider of food services and facilities management solutions. The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering a pay range of $13.50 to $18.00 per hour. Work schedules include mornings and afternoon/evening shifts with varying days and rotating weekends, providing flexibility depending on the operational needs. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth functioning of kitchen and food service operations on campus by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, which is critical in a university dining environment where health and safety standards must be rigorously upheld.

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either manually or by using dishwashing machines. Maintaining the cleanliness of food preparation and service areas, including floors, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, is a key part of the job. You will also assist with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed, helping to replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels, and ensuring that trash and garbage are properly disposed of. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to walk or stand for extended periods during shifts that might exceed eight hours, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires an individual who is reliable, punctual, and capable of adhering to sanitation and food safety procedures.
