The part-time Dishwasher role at ASM Global/Shreveport Convention Center is an essential position within the Food and Beverage department, reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager. This hourly non-exempt position plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility's stewarding operations. The individual in this role is responsible for cleaning all dining equipment including china, glassware, silverware, and various serving tools. In addition to dishwashing, the role involves assisting with the plate-up and delivery of food during functions, as well as setting up and breaking down banquet buffets. The Dishwasher works closely with kitchen staff and event teams to ensure all food preparation and service areas are kept clean and organized, which includes the main kitchen, concessions kitchen, and back hallways.

This position requires a hands-on approach, frequent interaction with staff members, and excellent organizational skills. The Dishwasher is expected to operate the main dish machine efficiently and handle counting and simple arithmetic tasks to support the food service processes. Candidates must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, standing, walking, and pushing or pulling equipment as needed. Working across multiple areas throughout the building provides a varied work environment that demands flexibility and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards in compliance with local food codes.
