The Utility Associate helps ensure that dishes, trays, storage containers, and other kitchen items are washed thoroughly and returned to their designated places efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.\n\nTeamwork and communication are critical components of this role. The Utility Associate participates in daily meetings with other culinary staff to align efforts and assist coworkers whenever necessary. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining room, and storeroom including sweeping and mopping
- follow proper procedures for putting away deliveries including labeling and dating products and breaking down boxes
- keep towels and soap dispensers clean and stocked
- transport ice to specified locations as needed
- maintain temperature logs using recommended tools
- clean and return all pots, pans, china, flatware, trays, storage containers, and equipment in a timely manner following standards
- set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink
- change water and maintain chemical levels for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing
- check soap supplies and use test strips for sanitizing agent
- maintain and clean dish machine and replenish supplies
- follow standardized cleaning, safety, and sanitation procedures
- practice clean-as-you-go philosophy
- vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and traffic areas
- follow departmental closing procedures and daily cleaning assignments
- discard all trash and empty cardboard bins
- communicate supply and equipment issues to management promptly
- participate actively in daily huddles and assist team members
- maintain organization in the work area and store items in designated labeled areas
- assist management as needed for efficient operation
